I wrote this book and never did anything with it, not for about 17 years! Then I heard a mentor/friend of mine, who I’ve know my entire adult life, was getting on in years and was looking for something to do. I remembered he enjoyed painting, drawing, and art in general. Also, Walt didn’t know he was one of the main characters in my book so I introduced him to Lenny and Ol’Walter to see if he wanted to illustrate the book for me. Walt didn’t feel he could do my book justice, but he inspired me to get going on it. Walt has a passion for instilling proper money handling in children as well. In fact Walt told me to not do anything else except get this book published. So after that I was on a mission! And the results are this book.The Lenny The Lighthouse series of books are entertaining and engaging books about a young lighthouse that learns basic concepts about money. Lenny learns basic money handling techniques, while practicing traditional values and helping others. At the end of each book there is a short summary of lessons learned in the story. I hope the parents find it as entertaining as the kids. I know I did.
